Totnes is situated on the River Dart , it offers ferry access to beaches and Dartmouth. Totnes has many wonderful independent shops. These are all round the corner from the house and a good stroll around the shops, stopping at the tea rooms for a great Devon Cream Tea is a must.

Hope cottage and its central location

There is a good sized supermarket within 5 minutes walk, on the way to this is the Tourist information centre.

There is a main line train station close to the cottage, You can also catch and experience the steam train either going into Dartmoor or to Dartmouth. There are bus stops close by which provide convenient transport access to many locations in South Devon.
